Should i go back to flying or is basing what is best for me?
ok so i am 16 and i am a sophmore in highschool. I was on jv this year and i just made varsity for next year. I have always been a flier becuase the other girls on my team were really strong and tall. I am 5'1 and weigh 110. I honestly dont work out 2 much and i have to admit i dont eat that healthy. So thats why my weight is a little higher. I also have very muscular legs. Thats why i tried out as a base this year. i also tried out as a base because their suddenly became a ton of fliers. I based a girl who was 5'3 and around 100 pounds. Its been about a month since tryouts and my elbows when i extend them hurt. It started when i started basing. and i know that she is not heavy. I only have based her about 10 times during tryouts and going to an extension cradel. I know basing comes mostly from your legs but when your arms are fully extended in the air their is pressure put on them. Even though i weigh 110 its mostly from muscle and the only part of me that is flabby is my stomach. i know i have to do abs. haha. But i mostly have a small frame and am quite petit. It just doesnt look too much like it because i am muscular. I really like flying but we only have five stunt groups and we have prob 4 girls who weigh less or at 100 pounds. Thats the only reason why i probably couldn't fly again. But i started wondering if maybe i am meant to fly because i have a small frame and even though she was only 100 pounds there was too much pressure on my elbows. What do you think about this? thanks alot!!
