Piano help needed with using proper fingerings?

Ok I am a amatuer piano player; I only play for recreation but a few years ago I bought this piano that lighted up and told you what nots to play so you could play lots of great songs. One of my favorites was the Petit Chein piece by Chopin. By using the piano I got I was able to perfect the melody just about but the problem is I was using both hands so I couldn't even do any of the support , lower range, notes on the bass cleff. So what I'm asking is how can I transition from using both hands to the proper way with the right fingers for each key and what not. Any tips? Websites? Please help because I want to be able to lay the melody AND the support of any piece. Thanks a lot!!!
